A.D. VIGANÒ designs, manufactures, and markets explosion-proof
electrical equipment and accessories for use in areas at risk of explosion.
These products are utilised in chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as in any location where the presence of flammable gases and dust can create potentially explosive atmospheres, such as: gas, methane firedamp, hydrocarbons, solvents, paints and resins, alcohol and derivatives, aromas and perfumes, distillates, plastics and rubber, and more. They are also suitable for environments involving dust from agricultural products, metals, chemicals, wood processing, and similar industries.
Our products, advice and after-sales service
Our products are classified according to their degree of protection and the materials used:
- Ex-d (both surface group II and mining/tunnel group I) explosion-proof, in aluminium, AISI316L stainless steel, cast iron.
- Ex-e increased safety materials, in aluminium and AISI316L stainless steel.
- Ex-i intrinsic safety materials, in aluminium and AISI316L stainless steel.
- Waterproof materials, in aluminium and AISI316L stainless steel.
Our company also provides a range of consultancy and design services, ranging from product guidance and selection to area classification, from designing customised solutions to after-sales support.
Our history
The Viganò group began its activity in Inverigo (near Lake Como) in 1950 as a craft-based company. In 1954, Viganò expanded its operations to develop the production of explosion-proof electrical materials, with the aim of gradually enhancing and improving the quality of its products.
In 1995, A.D. acquired Viganò Electrical. Currently, all activities have been streamlined and concentrated in a modern manufacturing plant, in a facility named “A.D. VIGANÒ S.r.l.” located in Concorezzo (Monza and Brianza).
Over the years, in response to the need to provide complete solutions and services to its customers, A.D. Viganò has expanded its facilities in the province of Como, where it currently operates its electrical wiring division.

Since 1998, our Quality System, certified by CSQ according to the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard, ensures that all our products comply with ATEX, IECEx, and TR-CU directives. A.D. Viganò is also committed to ensuring continuous monitoring of processes to pursue and improve the company's Quality system.
