Production of explosion-proof electrical equipment

A.D. VIGANÒ is recognised for excellence in the production of explosion-proof electrical equipment, providing solutions that ensure safety and reliability in at-risk environments.

We offer a complete range of explosion-proof products, from lighting systems to control components, push-button panels, sockets, plugs, acoustic indicators, nipples and explosion-proof couplings, accessories, designed to operate in various explosion-risk areas classified according to European ATEX and international IECEx and TR-CU standards. Our flexible approach allows us to customise each solution to perfectly fit the specific applications of our customers. Our explosion-proof electrical equipment is designed to prevent any potential ignition of potentially explosive atmospheres, protecting both workers and infrastructure. Each product complies with stringent European and international standards, ensuring that our solutions are not only safe but also highly efficient.

Production cycle and production standards

The internal production process begins with the acquisition of castings made with machinery and casting equipment using various processes: sand castings, shell castings, or die casting. In addition to the castings, components made of steel, brass, and extruded aluminium are also acquired. All materials are examined and their characteristics are verified to ensure long-lasting durability. The castings, before becoming finished products, undergo the manufacturing cycle (they are planed, drilled, and threaded); once the machining is complete and the dimensional tolerances are checked, they proceed to the washing, degreasing, and drying phase, and finally, they are painted according to our standard or to the customer's specifications.

Once painted, the items return to the assembly department where further visual and dimensional checks are carried out, after which the accessories, components, and identification and certification plates are installed.

Next, they proceed to the wiring department, where the equipment is inserted, and the internal electrical connections are made. Mechanical and electrical functionality tests are performed, as well as insulation or dielectric strength tests when required.

The company has experience in operating according to the following standards:
EN – ISO – IEC – UNI – CEI

Our production and quality management system according to UNI ISO/IEC 80079-34 standards is subject to periodic inspection by the notified body CESI.
